$15,000 Wood Slab Kitchen Island - One-Man Woodworking Shop

This wood slab kitchen island was one of my biggest woodworking projects to date. It was also my first kitchen island/woo countertop project! Made from a single piece of locally salvaged Black Walnut and the voids filled with jet black epoxy resin. This slab started out at nine feet long and over five feet wide. Rough cut by me and the final shape was precision cut by a CNC. I even decided to deliver this one personally and help with the installation. Let me know if you have any questions about the build!

Genius! Way out of my league, though. This is like when you see a beautiful girl on the street, adorable, a figure to die for and you ask yourself, what are my chances? None, obviously. Same here. You have to be an artist to turn this level of craftsmanship out. Hey, I can do a wooden box! Seriously, this is a great video. I like the calm demeanor of the narrator (creator)

What are your chances!? You have yourself NO CHANCE. gotta play, to win. You don't know, what other people like, so don't deny yourself! There's a reason women dress like that, you might very well be the only one to compliment her, so don't count yourself out before even trying.

I have butcher block countertops in my kitchen got them from Lowes 8ft by 25 inches by just under 1& 3/4 thick. They were aprox 270.00 ea and I love them. Every aprox 6 months i hand sand them with 400 grit then 800 then oil with mineral oil. Over 2 yrs now. I would never go back. I kept a cup of the sawdust to fill any gouges which there has been a couple from trying to crush ice. just mix the sawdust with wood glue and filled them in, sand down & mineral oil the little spot & you are done.

Wood. I found your channel a week or 2 ago and I've been working my way through your videos. Anyone who says you talk too much is simply crazy. I don't think you give any extraneous information. Everything you say is informative and interesting. I've watched a few other channels that have actual annoying commentary where it looks like they're trying to be EXTRA just to get views, or they contain boring commentary that doesn't really get to the point about what's going on where they are actually rambling on about stuff that is not pertinent to the video. Also seen a few videos without any commentary at all and 90% of the time I cut out of those videos early because they're uninteresting. I've watched every one of yours (that I've watched) all the way to the end. Keep making great thoroughly enjoyable content!

Appreciate you giving the tree the respect it deserves. People don't appreciate how LONG and the odds it takes for a tree...especially a hardwood to get to a large size like that. Cutting down large trees is something I try to avoid at all costs...
