Trim for best glide speed. Point aircraft in direction of nearest airport or landing site. Troubleshoot. Carb heat, switch tanks, boost pump on if equipped and attempt restart. If restart fails communicate emergency and continue to restart. Looking for suitable landing spot is not the first order in the procedure. Never witnessed an attempt at restart. And just for non pilots, "Aviate, Communicate and Navigate" is not procedure. Many videos explaining loss of power procedure. He did nail the landing. But off airport landings usually end as well.

Same thing happened to me on a Mooney 201 except I was close enough to make the field without power. All the things learned from my instructor came into play all the way down until the planr came to rest. From outward appearances it looked like a normal landing. I got the shakes about 30 minutes after the landing. All the thanks go to my flight instructor who had a habit of pulling the throttle back and instructing me to find a place to land. He usually did not let me have power back until the wheels were almost in the weeds. Great job, you were cool and professional all the way to the end.

computer generated imagery ! ...When did the controller tell you to ident? When were you told to squawk other than 1200? Proceed direct to what runway? This is a fake controller. A real controller would say the runway number, or "any runway". And controllers don't say "roger that", pilots sometimes do, but not controllers. Your computer skills are better than your piloting skills. Your buddy you got to fake the controller, could use some practice too. Nice try though. LOL. ALSO, the shadows cast inside the cockpit don't behave properly. I can hardly believe that Juan Brown was taken in by this, I know he is a keen observer. Perhaps he is playing along. And the yoke is not pulled all the way back when you round out and flare. But I suppose some amusement won't hurt any one.

Fly Navigate Comunicate. Good outcome. But he spends far too long with sqawk code and atc. It is not important at all. Fly the aircraft look outside find a field. This time he was lucky but if there were less available options he would have burnt valuable time on non essential tasks.
