Great video , the name of these islands is a trick like much of written Portuguese, it sounds like saw with sh tacked on the end , the a at the front disappears , almost “ sawsh” ! but somehow one knows there’s an er sound in front . Hope this helps on your next visit.

There’s something magical about those islands, I feel a sense of peace like no where else, all the troubles and worries and aches slowly fade away. It’s the place where I want to spend my final days because it’s there that I feel truly at home.

Once they bring in tourism, they will inevitably bring in way to much. Capitalism is always prophet over people. As Americans we don't make enough money to live. Capitalist pigs come in promising riches, jobs, industry, amazing infrastructure, education(while drowning out all there ways of living, like they're worthless) and just an all around better life. The sad part lots of these things will be delivered. An education is great done the right way. But it won't bc now they need to have people run everything, getting payed next to nothing. Serving assholes who think they are enlightened bc they paid $to be there. The only people getting wealthy is the Corporations and some politicians/business and real-estate people. While the indenginous people get their things taken from them and then sold back to them at a much larger cost. Bc your very identity will be stripped away and you'll end up being discriminated in your own home. Industry is a double edge sword. If humanity where good stewards to the earth then maybe the unbridled greed wouldn't be the way it is. When your company can't pay you enough to live bc they care about making 50 billion instead of 49 billion. The evil greedy trying to sell you a life you don't need. We could leave room for nature when we build. To many fast food places. Stronger community growing, fixing, trading. Use way less electricity. We could still have our devices. Stop wasting half of all food. Have a distribution for excessive produce. Eat less meat so our animals can have a good life. I hope places like this get to stay like this.

The name of the islands is pronounced very strangely for British people. In Britain, we pronounce Azores with the A pronounced short, as in apple.

Hi Anton. Do you still have the raw footage from the Faroes? I watched the subtitled version the other day. I was thinking about maybe re-cutting the Faroe video with your voice actor as you did here for the Azores. reading subtitles is labor intensive and not the same as the narrated version. I think it would be very cool.

Chinese investors, American, it doesn't matter: we're all a horrible scourge on the planet. The problem underlying is our philosophy, which is global and timeless: Disconnection from True Self, aka, hunger for power, aka tyranny, aka "Capitalism". And the price we are about to pay for it is global climate collapse. Land does not belong to any single human, nor even to all humans communally. It is a gift of Mother Earth and will be communally managed, once a significant portion of us humans wake up and raise (expand) our consciousness to expand beyond simply "one body" and personally experience the entire globe and everything going on on it, as "me". Anyone who is enlightened can do this. It is time for us all to become enlightened. It is the birthright of every human. Beings on other (well-managed) planets do not even build permanent structures above-ground. They construct only underground, and leave surface for Nature. They also keep their population to a fraction of ours (about 1 billion). But Capitalism could never handle such large projects. Only communal work and open technology (free energy, etc.) could get it done. By the way, the Azores are the last remnant of Atlantis. Another beautiful place which was finally sunk into the depths of the ocean by a power hungry priesthood elite, over 12,000 years ago. We will always suffer the same problem until we understand what it is, recognize the forms that it takes, and know the lies it spins. Must we destroy the Azores, too, before we learn what tyranny leaves in its wake?
